Project description

The University of Stuttgart conducts application-oriented research on intelligent multi-energy systems at the WAVE-H2 research center. WAVE-H2 comprises an electrolyzer, several stationary storage units, a fuel cell system, a hydrogen combined heat and power plant, a battery storage unit, a process plant, a DC microgrid, and a heating network with heat storage and a heat pump.

With the help of these components, various scenarios can be simulated to demonstrate how energy efficiency can be improved in production facilities. As general planner (EPCM), Wenger Engineering GmbH was responsible for the design, planning, approval, supervision of the consruction works, and commissioning of all system components.
