Project description
Honda operates a multi-energy infrastructure at its European R&D center that supplies its own site with electricity, heat, and green hydrogen and serves as an R&D platform. Surplus electricity from the PV system or the grid is stored in batteries, used to charge electric cars, or converted into hydrogen. This hydrogen is compressed and used for mobility at a car and truck filling station.
Wenger Hydrogen GmbH developed and produced the power-to-gas plant and filling station to customer specifications and built it as a turnkey project as the general contractor.
